7Mountains and DiNA Wins Future Best of Show Award, Presented by TV Technology.

DiNA, created by 7Mountains, is a recipient of the 2020 Future Best of Show Award, presented by TV Technology

Future’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. A Special Edition of the award program was held this year in the absence of a physical NAB Show, with entries judged on their written nominations.

Winners receive an award for display and will be featured in TV Technology, the industry source for equipment buyers in the broadcast, cable, production, corporate and new media markets.

All nominated products will be featured in the Best of Show Awards Program Guide, to be distributed in digital edition form to more than 95,000 readers of Radio World, TV Technology, Digital Video, Video Edge, Government Video, Pro Sound News, Sound & Video Contractor, Broadcasting & Cable, Next TV and TVB Europe in coming weeks.

“Our thanks to the many companies that participated in this year’s program under such unusual circumstances,” said Paul McLane, managing director of content in Future’s B2B media technology group. “It’s clear from the nominations and the outstanding winners that despite the current health crisis, technology innovation remains strong in our industry.”

“It’s an honor to receive this award and get the acknowledgement from an industry leading publication such as TV Technology. DiNA is getting attention word-wide as the next big thing for storytellers and journalists, that are looking for a smarter and more efficient way to create and share news”, says Robert Strand, VP of Sales in 7Mountains.

ausbiz launches new channel with DiNA and Mimir

ausbiz chooses DiNA and Mimir, by 7Mountains and Mjoll, for their national business channel launch

New Australian business channel ausbiz launches early 2020, as a continuous live service, dedicated to business and financial news. ausbiz has chosen DiNA by 7Mountains as their core storytelling and newsroom solution and Mimir by Mjoll as their cloud media management tool. The solutions will be delivered by Stem Media.

With DiNA and Mimir as centrepiece in their news workflow, ausbiz has chosen a solution for their journalists, directors and news producers that enables journalistic efficiency, collaboration and sharing, creativity, and for a seamless multi-platform publishing workflow.

“When presented with the opportunity to build a newsroom from scratch we wanted to find intuitive, scalable platforms which would allow our journalists to focus on content, not systems”, says Kylie Merritt, CEO, ausbiz.

“Our use case for DiNA is to plan, create, edit, go live and publish VOD; all from a single interface. It will finally disrupt the traditional workflow of a broadcast newsroom and give journalists 100% control over the output of ausbiz.”, Merritt adds.

DiNA will be delivered with integration to Mimir by Mjoll, for their cloud media management. With AI analysis of videos and images, Mimir automatically logs all metadata, generates transcripts of videos, creates subtitles, detects objects, celebrities, faces, events, and more.

“We are extremely happy and proud that ausbiz has chosen DiNA as their news storytelling solution. With the help from our dedicated partner Stem Media, we will deliver a modern tool for the journalists and producers in ausbiz”, says CEO of 7Mountains, Knut Alfred Andersen.

Another core component in the workflow for the new channel, is Vimond IO. ausbiz will use Vimond IO as their cloud editing system, to produce high quality video clips.
